March Challenge: Landscape… Entry #7 Drift Creek Falls

Sassy has been dealing with less than desirable weather and had this to say…

“I was trying to hold out to see if I was able to get out with the camera yet, not happening yet. So I dug through my archives and found this photo, Drift Creek Falls, located in Lincoln County on the Oregon Coast up in the mountains. I took this back in 2012.”

  1. WOW! What a spectacular waterfall. I bit dizzying in height as well. I wonder if it might be a bit over-saturated but you were definitely dealing with a challenge of extremes in light and dark in the same image. This would probably be a good study to do an HDR image. You are so fortunate to have waterfalls to shoot! I have seen very few waterfalls in my entire lifetime!

    • Yeah, I live in the perfect part of Oregon, the Columbia River Gorge is only 30 minutes from us and has a fabulous selection of waterfalls, if you look through my blog on here I have some shots of some of the the falls on there. Historic Columbia River Gorge is a major tourist attraction and the creme la Creme is the majestic Multnomah Falls.

  2. What a magnificent image.
The dark background accentuate the the waterfall.
I wonder what is the height of this waterfall.
    Thank you for sharing!
    Another beautiful image Sassy.
