April Challenge: Birds… Entry #3 Using Your Car as a Blind

It seems that rebeKah has unknowingly been using her vehicle as a blind and these photos just prove that it works!

“I cannot pick just one!  While sitting in my vehicle looking for potential bird shots in the trees ahead I glanced behind me after quite some time of sitting in wait and was greatly surprised to spot this wren making trip after trip to this broken parking barrier pipe at Lake Grapevine.  Under the cover of my vehicle blind I was treated to this wren energetically making a nest in the pipe.  It is quite ironic to me that I’m looking in wait at the trees only to be missing lots of great action closer by in an unexpected area.”

  1. RebeKah… this just shows how effective a car can be as a blind and by watching the activity of this little bird, you found a most unlikely place for a nest! As always… good eye and I like your dof!

  2. rebeKah,
How cool! It must of been so much fun to watch this activity! They are such skilled little creatures! Its amazing what a wonderful job they do. Very nice series of shots of the activity!
