This next entry is from crazy woman Donna. I instantly fell in love with the title and had to read more.
Sundays, Apples, Pumpkins and Spaces
“Needless to say this negative space picture was quite an endeavor at the pumpkin patch! Because I love fall and it is October, I wanted to theme my Negative Space picture that way.
My husband and I went to the pumpkin patch to shoot negative spaces! After shooting many pumpkins and spaces this is what “we” came up with! It is aptly titled based on the commercial where the husband goes apple picking with his wife on Sunday when he should be home watching football like all other men.”
Donna… love the negative space! Lots of texture which compliments your pumpkin and wouldn’t that make a lovely cover for a book with plenty of room for a title! A special thank you to your hubby for his input!
Thanks Fay for your comment! And I passed on you message! 😀
Excellent use. I’m also fond of your including only a portion of the subject.
Thanks!
This is over the top excellent. I love this so much. Like Robin, I also love the “portion only” subject.
Miss your creation for a few months, but you come back and submitted something that is a work of art as you always do.
Excellent job!
Sweet comment Tess!
Good to be shooting again!
Good picture Donna. I love fall colors and the brown and orange are beautiful. Good use of negative space. I also think it would make a good book cover also
Thanks Debbie! I was thinking about a fall magazine cover when I was shooting!
And it would have been excellent – except for all that printing they would have pasted on top of it. “Lurid Details, Page 32”.
Like… 50 Shades of Grey on top of that grey/brown wood!
Actually this would make a great cover for a cookbook of favorite holiday recipes and remembrances with some old photos included.
Donna,
Very nice shot! The textured wood really is a great idea for negative space!! Also, great seasonal shot as well! Well done Donna!!
Thanks Lorraine I appreciate your comment!
Yes Fay a cookbook how fun!!
Love it!!! The texture of the wood against the texture of the pumpkin works really well. You have a great eye.
