April Challenge: Lines… Entry #5 No Place to Go

Our next entry is from Linda, our poet! I will be thinking up a challenge in the near future where she can share with us some of her poetry.

So Linda… tell us about your photo:

“Driving in the Hill Country, I spotted this old truck loaded with prickly pear parked in a pasture. Had to crop off the fence posts and most of the tree line, but the fence wires criss-cross horizontally and vertically. And, of course, there is the sign with two lines of text.”

  1. The lines of wire fence and barbed wire are subtle and that simply adds to the look of this forgotten truck in the pasture with prickly pear cactus in the back. I love these country finds. It always seems there is more to the story than what we are seeing.

  2. Linda,

The conposition of your posture is “country beautiful”. The barb wire lines accentuated the old truck that looks beautiful with the cactus at the back.

Good job Linda. Hope we can read some of your poems with your challenge pictures. It would be a very great idea.

  3. Love the “prickly” old truck. Wonder where the eggs & chickens are….leave it to a woman of words to not only have the wire lines in her photo but written lines on a sign as well….

  4. Linda,
What a neat capture of an interesting planter! I like how the lines in the fence take you across the body of the truck!
