So Many Butterflies!

John Watts, an entomologist, at the Texas Discovery Gardens in Dallas, Texas welcomed us to the butterfly exhibit. He is so knowledgable, and what an excellent teacher! The children sat listening to his every word and would answer all of his questions. Around noon time he introduced the new butterflies to the garden and we watched as they gradually flew off towards the light.

John has been most gracious and invited my “special friend” Lucy to come and visit with the butterflies in hopes that they might light on her. If they are anything like the ducks and geese at White Rock Lake, they may be a bit leary of her and keep their distance but I know for a fact that she will sit very still! Lucy is looking forward to her butterfly adventure!

  1. Wow Lala, it is amazing how we are at the same place at the same time and end up with different pictures.
I really love the Zebra Longwing with the purple flower. I love them all though.
What can I say Lala? You are absolutely the master. Thank you for all the opportunities and the lessons. I appreciate it a lot.

  2. On Thursday, March 14th, Lorraine, Debbie and I are planning on taking Lucy to see the butterflies. It should be a fun day out! If any of you crazy women want to join us, we are planning on arriving at about 10AM and we would love to have you meet us there!
